US BASED NIGERIAN MUSIC VIDEO DIRECTOR SENTENCED TO 90 YEARS IMPRISONMENT FOR FATHERING CHILDREN WITH HIS DAUGHTERS
An
award-winning US Based Nigerian director Aswad Ayinde, found guilty of fathering six children
with his daughters will spend the rest of his life in jail.
Fifty-Four Years old Ayinde, of Paterson, New
Jersey, United States, was sentenced to 50 years in prison on Friday, July 26,
2013 after being found guilty in the second of five expected trials in which he
is accused of repeatedly raping his six daughters, resulting in six children
being fathered by him
Ayinde is
a religious fanatic who is obsessed with creating a pure bloodline and this is
his reasoning for raping his children. Court records indicate that the
Ayinde girls were abused from the 1980’s to 2002. The alleged molestations
took place in an abandoned East Orange, New Jersey, funeral home, where it is
claimed the family had squatted for quite some time.
The
children were home-schooled and never attempted to escape or alert anyone
to their situation. Ayinde allegedly beat his children in to submission with
objects like wooden boards and even used steel-toed boots to kick them
according to police reports. His ex-wife Beverly Ayinde, who has nine children
with the offender, explained she would have been beaten for speaking of
“Pedophilia” and never contacted authorities regarding the treatment
of herself or her children. In
a disturbing disclosure during his first trial, She also said Ayinde was trying
to create a “PURE FAMILY BLOODLINE” by impregnating his daughters. He even
claimed during a pre-trial hearing before the first trial that “the world was
going to end, and it was just going to be him and his offspring and that he was
chosen.”
He pleaded guilty
to lesser charges and received a year’s probation – as he continued to rape one
of his daughters for at least another two years, according to officials.
Ayide
has passed himself off as an artist, his daughters as his wives, and did this
all without social services stopping him despite being arrested and pleading
guilty to assault and child endangerment.
Mr. Ayinde was
found guilty in his latest trial of having intercourse with his second daughter
right from when she was as young as eight-years-old impregnating her four times.
The second sentence adds to the 40 year sentence Mr Ayinde received in a 2011
trial for sexually assaulting a separate daughter.
The sexual assaults happened for almost 30 years until Mr. Ayinde and his wife, Beverly separated, officials said. They occurred in numerous homes across northern New Jersey, even while the family was under watch of state child welfare officials, according to NBC New York. Some of the rapes even took place in an abandoned funeral home.
The family moving as far away as Florida to avoid investigation after case workers removed multiple children from the Ayinde household in 2000, resulting in Mr. Ayinde being arrested for kidnapping for trying to take them from state custody in a medical center.

Some of the children Ayinde fathered with his daughters were born in one of the homes, with at least two babies that died and were buried without notifying authorities or obtaining birth certificates, NBC New York reported.
With his wife too afraid to confront him, Mr. Ayinde aka Charles McGil carried out his evil plan without hindrance even while directing the music video for the Fugees 1996 breakout hit “Killing Me Softly”, for which he won ‘Best R&B Video’ at the 1996 MTV Music Video Awards. The Fugees are also originally from Northern New Jersey.

Igbos Condemns Fashola Over Deportation Of 70 Destitutes To Onitsha
by Obireh Erhuvwu Beauty
LAGOS JULY 26TH
Reactions have continue to trail Wednesday’s deportation of over 70 persons from Lagos city to Onitsha, Anambra state by the Lagos state government, the Governor Peter Obi led administration in Anambra, says it will soon make official statement regarding the incident. The 70 deportees made up of men, women, and children were transported in a truck accompanied by heavily armed policemen and were dumped in Onitsha commercial city at about 2.30am before the truck headed back to Lagos.
Speaking with A Reporter, yesterday on the issue through a telephone call, chief press secretary (CPS) to governor Obi, Mr. Mike Udah, said, “though, the governor is not around now , but we are gathering our information, so that when His Excellency comes back he will be properly briefed with a view to enabling him make public statement on the ugly development.
“But as a Nigerian, you will quite agree with me that such action by who so ever did it was completely wrong, because we are all one Nigeria, and our constitution which is our supreme document guarantees citizens the Right to freedom of movement, and to reside in any part of the country they so
desire.
Udah, however, wondered why Onitsha should always be chosen as destination for the offloading of human cargo, even when most of the victims are not from south east or Anambra state, adding that” this is not the first time we are witnessing this kind of ugly incident in Anambra state”
Meanwhile, , an Enugu based legal practitioner, and former commissioner for youth and sports in Enugu state, Barrister Raymond Nnaji, has faulted the Lagos state government action, saying it was absolutely wrong for the Governor Raji Fashola, led administration to have embarked on such
action.
He posited that no state government operating in the entity called Republic of Nigeria , have such powers to deport citizens from one state to the other, insisting that it violates section 141 of the nation’s constitution which guarantees citizens freedom of movement throughout the country, and to
resides in any part they so wish.
Also reacting to the development, the immediate past secretary General of the youth wing of the apex Igbo socio cultural organization Ohaneze Ndigbo, Hon. Chuks Ibeagbu, said” I think Lagos state government do not have any right or moral justification to deport those citizens from Lagos to
Anambra state, since they are not anti social elements or proven to be foreign aliens.”
He insisted that even if they had committed crime in Lagos , there are procedures and due process to try law breakers in the land and not going to deporting Nigerian citizens from one state to another, especially when it is obvious and has been proven that majority of them are not “Igbo not to talk of
hailing from Anambra state.
“So, am saying that it is totally wrong for Lagos state government to have treated their fellow Nigerians that way, it is uncalled for, and besides, even if they are destitute as some people are claiming, is that the best way to handle them? or, are there no Lagos state indigenes that are destitute in other states of the federation .“ he asked.
“As a civilized people, what the Lagos state government ought to have done was to take them to various rehabilitation homes through the ministry of women affairs and social development, in the case of confirmed destitution and not treating them like aliens in their own father land.

Amaechi: Clark’s Group Takes On Soyinka, Four Governors
LAGOS JULY 25TH The Southsouth elders and stakeholders, a group led by one time federal commissioner and Ijaw leader Chief Edwin Clark, yesterday condemned Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi for his role in the House of Assembly fracas.
The group also lambasted the four Northern governors who visited Amaechi in solidarity.
Nobel laureate Prof. Wole Soyinka was also not spared condemnation for dragging First Lady Dame patience Jonathan into the crisis. Clark claimed that Soyinka kept quiet during the House of Assembly crisis in Ogun and Oyo states.
Clark, who spoke at a news conference, accused Amaechi whom he claimed was his political son, of mischief.
He said the Rivers governor isn being backed by people who want to destabilise the country.
He said: “It is our position that Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi shall not continue the charade of blaming President Jonathan and his wife over the internal crisis in his state.
“He should reflect on his memorable journey thus far and learn to be humble before God. As aptly admonished by Orji Uzor Kalu, former Governor of Abia State and Yinka Odumakin, the Publicity Secretary of Afenifere, party loyalty demands that members, no matter how highly placed, must respect and honour directives from the party leadership.
“No party leader, including those presently manipulating Amaechi, can tolerate the high level insubordination and disrespect he has continually flaunted. We therefore advise Governor Amaechi to resign honourably from his party for continuing to wage his war of acrimony against the leadership of the party. Failing that, we call on the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to take the stringent measures to expel him to bring sanity to the party and to serve as deterrent to other renegade members.”
The Clark group asked the northern governors that visited Amaechi what they did when the PDP crisis in Adamawa State became so intractable and at the height of Boko Haram killings in the Northeast.
The group expressed surprise on the statement credited to Adamawa State Governor Murtala Nyako that they will bury the PDP.
“How else would Governor Nyako reportedly boast that they will bury the PDP if not through undemocratic means? We make bold to say that their unholy romance with Amaechi and non-democratic forces over the crisis in Rivers State, which they have continually blown out of proportion, is an ominous threat to this democratic dispensation.”
On Soyinka’s attacks on the First Lady, the group accused the writer of mute indifference and cold complicity when the Ogun Assembly was enmeshed in a crisis, where lawmakers brutalized one another and when former Oyo State Governor Rashidi Ladoja was impeached by minority members in the Oyo State House of Assembly.
“As democrats, we believe that power belongs to the people who are the custodians of sovereignty. Therefore, the emergence or otherwise of President Jonathan as president in 2015 should he decide to contest, shall be the responsibility of Nigerians. It is not for a group of people to decide the fate of President Jonathan, no matter their unholy alliance and gang-up. Our concern is premised on the fact these same governors have been vociferous in their agitation for power-shift to the North at all cost.
Clark said the intention of north’s governors who visited Amaechi was suspicious, given the fact that they did not begin their consultations with “doyens of democracy”, such as President Shehu Shagari but decided to embrace “former military dictators and supplanters of governments make their purpose and intention suspicious”.
“We therefore wish to caution that Nigerians, particularly those in authority, should guard their utterances and actions to avoid over-heating the polity.
“The Southsouth will hold any such persons wholly responsible, should their over-heating vituperations serve as a conductor to derail our hard-won democracy, particularly at this time when a son of the Southsouth is privileged by the blessings of God and Nigerians to provide leadership.”
The Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi expressed regret that elders, who should mediate in the political crisis, are “clearly” taking sides.
Amaechi also declared that external persons were involved in the political crisis in the state, without mentioning their names.
He described the statements by Clark; and Okupe, as very unfortunate.
Amaechi, who is also the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), last night, spoke through his Chief Press Secretary, David Iyofor.
The Rivers governor said: “It is very unfortunate that elders, who should mediate in the political crisis in Rivers state, are clearly taking sides.
“How can Dr. Doyin Okupe describe the political crisis in Rivers state as a local issue, in spite of the intervention of the Nobel laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka, governors across Nigeria and civil rights activists, among other eminent personalities?”
